Disability Exam Arrangements

Arrangements for students with an Access Plan

Students with disabilities may negotiate an agreement to alter the standard final exam conditions. If you believe you require alternative exam arrangements please contact Access and Inclusion Services at the Student Engagement Unit of Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Makassar.

Access and Inclusion Services are all about supporting and empowering students to achieve their academic goals and participate equitably in all aspects of university life. Our goal is to foster a campus culture that embraces, respects and celebrates diversity in all its forms.

We provide advice and guidance in relation to access, adjustments and inclusive practices for students who have a disability, impairment or chronic health condition and those with significant caring responsibilities.

Our services are free and confidential, and open to all students including internal and external and those studying online, as well as prospective students. Our services can be delivered via phone or in person from any campus, includes UNM Pare-Pare campus.

The arrangements will vary depending on the impact of the disability and are outlined in an Access Plan.

An Access plan is a confidential document which provides information about the impact of a student’s disability, impairment, mental health condition or chronic health issue on their studies. The Access Plan will document the agreed services that will be provided by Access and Inclusion, including any alternative exam arrangements if required. The Access Plan helps students to negotiate reasonable academic adjustments with Faculty staff or Study Program staff.

Student’s disability or medical information remains their private information. Only information students choose to release within the University goes into their Access Plan. By providing information to staff about the impact of their disability, impairment, mental health condition or chronic health issue at university, it can help staff in assisting students with their studies.

No information about a student’s disability, mental health or medical condition is passed outside the University without a student’s consent.

If you have any more information / questions related to additional time given to the disabled persons, please share your thoughts in the comments area or contact Faculty staff at Academic Unit (Subag Akademik, Faculty of Engineering UNM) at 2nd Floor of Dekanat FT UNM.
